Metamorphosis
is an exploration of how movement with the human body can mimic aspects of nature. Humbling our ego to recognize the similarities between us and the earth - as we are it and it is us - changing, growing and evolving every year, week, day, second and beyond, while fully embracing our impermanence.
Rooted in Intersectionality
explores my roots on the Southside of Chicago and the deep ancestral relationship between Blackness and our indigeneity to the Earth - originating in Africa. Through my work, I examine the interplay between the past, present and future - centering divine femininity and confronting the ongoing realities of environmental racism in Black communities.
